  • Contracts Specialist

We reduce barriers between information and care for those who deliver or consume health services and products and whose roles or care are hindered by fractured, inaccessible or complex information systems. BE PART OF THE TEAM WORKING TOWARDS #BETTERGLOBALHEALTH The new role is responsible for managing the overall sourcing strategy balancing business needs and risks within an approved sourcing management framework. Duties will include creating and implementing the processes and policies required for contracts and procurement. This involves preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts and purchase orders in collaboration with key staff within business operations, finance and revenue operations. The incumbent manages internal and external company relationships and contracts from the RFP process to supplier obligations and risks, maintaining a view on supplier industry strategy with the purpose of achieving good business outcomes for the client. Responsibilities: Provide guidance in negotiations with respect to risk and ensuring related governance processes/policies are adhered to and completed prior to final approval. Reviews cost proposals and pricing information. Prepares and administers contracts and purchase orders with specific vendors. Evaluates vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met. Confirms that terms and delivery dates are accurate. Evaluates competence of vendors and reviews their invoices for accuracy. Maintains database regarding vendors performance and quality of services(s) or product(s). Supports the process for negotiating and drafting contract terms and conditions. Ensuring compliance with all related laws and regulations. Managing daily, monthly and quarterly reports. Developing and maintaining vendor relationships. Requirement: Post secondary education in Business, Commerce or a related field of study. Minimum 5 years of sourcing, procurement, and contract management experience in a professional services type environment. Exceptional communication skills (oral and written), strong persuasion skills and ability to gain consensus with various internal and external parties. Demonstrated ability to work in a complex and fast-paced environment; highly adaptable and able to work independently within a team environment. Excellent attention to detail and ability to review and understand legal terms, business terms and complex documentation. Experienced change agent with a successful record in implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Strong service, influence, and negotiation skills. Strong planning, prioritization, organization, problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to proactively anticipate matters and can manage multiple tasks effectively.   • Manager of Accounting
    Our client, Smile Digital Health, is looking for an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager who can take on many of the day-to-day financial activities. We need someone who can carry on with ease in a fast-paced and growing company while being current, accurate and compliant with all applicable regulations in Canada and the US. Responsibilities Manage the accounting team and oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring that trial balances, journal entries, recurring entries and monthly and year-end financial statements, including reconciliations and all balance sheet items are accurate and completed on time. Responsible for accurately recording expenses, ensuring proper back up documentation and propriety of charges incurred with corporate charge cards and ensuring timely payment of monthly statements. Prepare and analyze income statements for actual vs. historical comparisons and budget. Monitor cash flow availability, bank transfers and renewal of any investments. Prepare budget and discrepancies analysis. Coordinate statutory/government filings and assist with audit preparation, as required. Ensure that accounts payables and receivables processes are complete from start to finish. Support cross-border financial transactions. Ongoing compliance with organizational policies, procedures and practices (such as but not limited to security policies) are an ongoing requirement of the employment or contractual agreement. Non-compliance may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Requirements An experienced accounting manager who has “been there, done that” and enjoys a start-up environment with a fast-growing and dynamic company. About ten years of full bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities. Preference for CGA/CPA or at least post-secondary education in finance/accounting. Experience with Netsuite is ideal along with knowledge of cross-border transactions and investor relations knowledge would be helpful.
