PURPOSE

 

·   Increase shareholder value through an increased understanding of the needs of consumers, clients, communities and employees and Client's performance as perceived by the consumers, clients, communities and employees.

·   Using cost effective research methodologies, the Manager, Marketing Research commissions, designs, and manages research studies for Client enterprise ensuring that the BUs/FUs are provided with timely, actionable, high quality client insights to support their decision making process.

·   Marketing Research involves highly complex studies; in designing and implementing Marketing Research studies, the Manager, Marketing Research, effectively interact with all levels of management and non-management staff and external Marketing Research consultants.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·   Interpret and integrate research outputs on customer loyalty and satisfaction studies as well as other research initiatives for BUs/FUs and proactively sharing the insights across the enterprise to develop differentiating strategies and solutions that supports revenue growth

·   Guide the BUs/FUs to effectively define the information needs and provide recommendations on the best approach or solutions by leveraging knowledge and insights from various information sources

·   Design and manage marketing research studies including loyalty and satisfaction studies to generate client insights to support BUs/FUs/ strategies, business plans and programs

·   Participate in cross-functional teams to signal market trends, identify business opportunities & emerging market segments, and relevant positioning, value proposition and potential product development/ enhancements

·   Test and learn new and enhanced methodology including new measurement metrics to achieve the highest standard in research excellence

·   Appraise studies proposed by various Financial Services Industry organizations (i.e., Council on Financial Competition, marketing/research companies etc.) and reviewing relevant secondary data sources, in the context of BUs/FUs short and long-term business goals

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

·   Senior marketing researcher - a minimum of 8 years with two of those in a leading management role on customer loyalty research either with the research vendor or a research buyer 

·   Strong analytical strategic mindset, superior ability to distill massive amount of data from different sources into actionable and crisp insights

·   Superior knowledge and practical experience on a wide range of research techniques covering both qualitative and quantitative areas. Sound ability to decide on the appropriate research methodologies and data analyses required.

·   Experience with Customer Satisfaction research an asset.

·   Extremely strong communication and presentation skills with proven track record of working effectively well with senior executives

·   Sound working knowledge of marketing principles, concepts and tactics

·   strong project management skills

·   Can work independently and also work well in team environment with individuals at a wide range of organizational levels

·   Demonstrated leadership in a cross-functional and information sharing environment

·   Self-starter, able to manage simultaneously a large number of projects, which differ in complexity and business context in a fast-paced environment

·   Creative and innovative thinker who can think outside of the box

·   Good listener and open to new ideas/concepts

·   Strong passion for practicing marketing research
